Our dynamic Strengths workshops bring to life the concepts and insights that enable your people to identify and draw energy from their Strengths. We specialize in the facilitation of Strengths workshops using the Gallup® CliftonStrengths ® assessment tool, designing them to align with your specific goals and priorities so the sessions apply to the real work of your organization. Our Strengths workshops are engaging and are often used as the foundation for team-building or broader leadership development programs. The Strengths concepts also work well when integrated into strategic planning and goal setting sessions.
West End Partners facilitators are Gallup® Certified coaches with extensive experience with the CliftonStrengths ® model. To discuss further, contact West End Partners today and learn more about how we design and facilitate Strengths workshops.
The newly appointed president of a large, private research university was looking to organize a multi-day offsite for his executive team.
With over seven thousand employees, the president had a large group of direct reports. While the main goal of the offsite was goal setting, he also wanted to approach it in a way that helped the team understand how others on the team worked and methods of working together more effectively.
The president had been a part of a Strengths-based assessment before and asked West End to facilitate a similar session for his team. Based on that feedback, we designed a full-day session around CliftonStrengths. The participants took the assessment in advance of the event, learned about the meaning and value of various strengths, and had time to reflect on individual results on their own.
Then, as a group, we reviewed the participants’ collective strengths, gaps, and the implications of each. To bring the point home further, we mixed in challenging, engaging exercises in which teams had to solve problems in a competitive setting and that was a good fit for this particular group of high level professionals in the field of education and academic administration.
The structure and delivery of the Strengths session was an immediate success. The exercises and challenges brought to light and reinforced concepts in a novel and positive way.
Since then, more than half of the participants asked that West End deliver a similar Strengths-based session for their direct reports and teams.
The CliftonStrengths® assessment (formerly called Clifton StrengthsFinder) is a developmental tool from Gallup®. It uses a series of questions to measure a person’s combination of talents and categorize them into the 34 CliftonStrengths® themes. The assessment helps people discover what they and others on their team do best, and the strengths workshop fosters stronger team dynamics through productive conversations that increase collaboration.
Trying to run a meeting while simultaneously taking part in the Strengths exercises can be challenging. Moreover, it takes a lot of experience to know how to make the concepts resonate depending on the group or individuals participating. West End Partners has facilitators who are certified by Gallup in order to have expertise in the tool and its application. A professional, certified facilitator will have many exercises and examples and the ability to adjust to what will work best in a Strengths session designed for your group.
Using an experienced meeting facilitator and certified CliftonStrengths coach from West End Partners will help you make the most of your time together and maximize the results of your Strengths workshop by allowing everyone, including you, to be fully focused on the exercises and the learning.
